"Wild Geese Descending on the Sandbank", originated in the Yuan Dynasty, is an ink wash painting on Xuan paper. The artwork is now on display at the Special Exhibition of Painting and Calligraphy from the Song and Yuan Dynasties at the Guangdong Museum. The whole painting involves lots of scenery of magnificent elegance and charm.?

这幅元人的《平沙落雁图》，水墨纸本，现正在广东省博物馆的《绘冠南天——粤藏宋元书画特展》中展出。整幅画卷景致颇多，雅韵称绝。

The scroll was started with characters of "Wild Geese Descending on the Sandbank" written in Clerical script. At the heart of the scroll, there are flourishing jungles and several huts. There's also a man lying on his side in a pavilion and looking at distant islands, on which sheep nestle forage or frolic. Moreover, a fishing boat was moored in the shoal beside the islands.?

该图卷引首为隶书“平沙落雁”四字，画心开卷处林木蓊翳，有茅屋数楹，一男子侧卧于凉亭之中，遥望远处洲渚，洲渚上有羊群或踡伏，或觅食，或嬉戏。

On it, a fisherwoman holds a baby and a man cooks over a fire, which shows a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.?

一渔舟泊于洲渚旁浅滩处，舟上渔妇怀抱婴儿、男子生火煮饭的场景活灵活现，一派安闲祥和气氛。

From the middle to the end of the scroll, over 200 wild geese are in a flying array. They soar high above clouds, or hover over the water, with various poses. The reeds on the bank seem ethereal and bleak, giving people a full sense of autumn. #artandculture

画卷中段至尾，200多只大雁列成雁阵，或高翔云表，或盘旋水际，姿态各异，岸边的芦苇飘渺萧瑟，令人顿觉秋声满纸。
