(JW Insights) Jun 26 -- China’s analog IC foundry GTA Semiconductor (积塔半导体) completed the 12-inch automotive chip pilot line on June 2, focusing on high-end chips including 90nm to 40nm vehicle MCUs, analog ICs, and CIS, JW Insights learned.

The 12-inch BCD product of this production line was officially taped out in February of this year, and all of the WAT results met the standards on June 2. This marks a significant milestone for GTA's 12-inch automotive chip project, fully validating that the company's 12-inch production line has reached mass production standards, according to the company.

Founded in 2017, Shanghai-based GTA focuses on automotive ICs. Its two fabs in Shanghai provide manufacturing and technology services for microcontrollers, analog circuits, power devices, and sensors for automotive electronics, industrial control and high-end consumer electronics.

The company has partnered with Geely Technology and Empyrean on vehicle products.
