On March 29, LIAN Jie, co-CEO of game business Perfect World, died at the age of 48. Perfect World has appointed LU Xiaoyin, CEO of Perfect World Games, to replace him.

Lian joined Perfect World in 2016 and served as president, chairman, and CEO. Before that, he worked at Goldman Sachs and Primavera Capital Group.

Lu joined Perfect World in 2004 as senior vice president. In 2017, he became CEO of Perfect World Games.
