顾景舟(1915-1996)原名景洲，早年别称瘦萍、武陵逸人、壶叟，宜兴川埠上袁村人。顾景舟出生于紫砂世家，18岁随祖母邵氏制壶。20世纪30年代到上海仿制历代名作，临摹时大彬、陈鸣远、邵大亨之作。

此件藏品为仿古如意壶，壶身似一端正周整的圆扁葫芦，长流的转折呼应重心略向上的环形把，使扁腹向左右延伸，而盖钮巧妙地凸起令壶的重心上移，腹似虚实有通壶显得精实有神，不致扁塌。流、的、把这三点搭配最是高明。身扁、腹鼓、颈高、盖板平滑壶盖与口沿字母线吻合严密，合成圆线饱满，扁钮有力，虹钮有势二弯流胥出自然。圆圈把匀势而起，富于灵动，整体骨肉亭匀，收展有度。
